Grain Bins, Standard
Large metal tanks or bins used to store grain. These bins are generally made up of individual panels that are bolted together. The base costs of the tanks include a concrete foundation that may have tunnels for aeration or conveyors.
You can define the size of grain bins either by dimensions or by capacity. See the tables below for valid size ranges.
Define by Dimensions
The following table lists valid values for defining standard grain bins by diameter and height.
Diameter (Feet) | Min – Max Height to Eaves (Feet) |
---|---|
15 | 8 – 18 |
18 | 11 – 32 |

30 | 11 – 41 |
33 | 11 – 32 |

Define by Capacity
The following table lists valid values for defining standard grain bins by diameter and capacity.
Diameter (Feet) | Min – Max Capacity (Bushels) |
---|---|
15 | 1,037 – 2,515 |
18 | 2,129 – 6,615 |
21 | 2,899 – 9,010 |
